Red Dot Essentials Course

AG & AG Red Dot Essentials is a 4-hour class focused on introducing shooters to the basic information about and techniques of utilizing red dot optics on semi-automatic pistols. This is an excellent first step for shooters who want to build confidence and competence working with pistol mounted optics.

Students will:

• Learn basic information related to what Red Dot optics are and how they work

• Practice safe firearm handling

• Engage in both dry-fire and live-fire exercises

• Learn red dot specific self-diagnostic and practice techniques

• Adhere to all range safety protocols and procedures

This class will cost $150 per student plus range fees

which are $20 for non-members of the West Mansfield Conservation Club 

Students will need to bring the following:

• Eye Protection & Hearing Protection

• A functional semi-automatic handgun in .22lr, .380, or 9mm

• Handgun MUST have pistol mounted optic pre-installed

• Optic MUST be zeroed for either 10, 15, or 25 yards

• Optic user manual and sight adjustment tools

• Spare optic battery

• Minimum of three magazines 150 - 200 rounds of factory ammunition

• Notepad and pen strongly recommended

• A sack lunch, snacks, hydration

Students can rent a firearm, eye protection, and ear protection for an additional $20.
