Ohio Concealed Handgun License (CHL) Course

Whether you're new to concealed carry or ready to obtain your Ohio CHL, this course gives you the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to carry responsibly both in Ohio and while traveling.

Ohio has permitless carry, but responsible carry requires more than meeting the minimum legal standard. If you travel outside Ohio, your ability to lawfully carry in many other states depends on holding a valid Ohio Concealed Handgun License (CHL). Your preparation should go beyond paperwork.

This isn't a sit-and-get class.

This is a comprehensive defensive firearms course designed to prepare you mentally, legally, and practically to carry with confidence, sound judgment, and responsibility.

While this course fully satisfies the requirements to obtain your Ohio CHL, it goes far beyond certification. You'll develop situational awareness, learn how criminals identify potential victims, and discover practical ways to avoid dangerous encounters before they begin.

We also examine real-world use-of-force situations so you understand not only when you legally can use force—but when you shouldn't. 

Carrying a firearm without sound judgment and a clear understanding of the law can have life-changing consequences.

You won't spend the day simply watching slides. Before stepping onto the range, you'll actively practice safe firearm handling, ready positions, defensive fundamentals, and malfunction-clearing concepts. Every block of instruction is designed to build real competence—not just satisfy a legal requirement.

This course equips everyday men and women with the mindset, skills, and legal knowledge needed to carry responsibly. You'll leave with more than a certificate—you'll leave with practical skills, greater confidence, and a deeper understanding of your responsibilities as an armed citizen.

Class size is intentionally limited to ensure every student receives personalized instruction, individual coaching, and the time needed to develop safe, effective skills.

Equipment Rental

Firearm, eye protection, and hearing protection are available for rent for $20.
