New Shooter Pistol Course

The New Shooter Pistol Course is a 4-hour introductory program designed to help first-time shooters build confidence, develop safe firearm handling habits, and gain practical experience with semi-automatic handguns.

Whether you've never held a firearm, feel intimidated by guns, or simply want a better introduction than a traditional lecture-based class, this course provides an engaging and interactive learning experience focused on real-world skills.

Students will learn firearm safety, range etiquette, handgun operation, and shooting fundamentals through hands-on instruction and guided practice. Our experienced instructors create a supportive learning environment where questions are encouraged and every student progresses at a comfortable pace.

Throughout the course, you'll become familiar with the parts and operation of a semi-automatic handgun, practice proper grip, stance, and trigger control, and participate in live-fire exercises specifically designed for beginner success.

By the end of class, you'll leave with a solid foundation, improved confidence, and the skills needed to continue your shooting journey safely and responsibly.

There is a limited number of participants!

We intentionally keep classes small so every student receives personalized instruction, individual coaching, and the support needed to build confidence safely.

Students can rent a firearm, eye protection, and ear protection for an additional $20

Class fee is $100 plus range fees which are $20 cash for non-members at the West Mansfield Conservation Club
