Q- How long is the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit Course?
A- You will begin with the required 4 hours for your UT Concealed Firearm Permit training portion. After a lunch break, you will then take the 2 hours of your Introduction to the 3x3 Unified Protection System.
Q- How many states will recognize my Utah Concealed Firearm Permit?
A- As a non-resident of Utah, there are 24 states that will recognize your UT CFP. As a resident of Utah, there are 34 states which will recognize your UT CFP. You will be given more of this information during your training.
Q- What kind of a firearm will I need to bring to the UT CFP course?
A- None. There are no firearms or ammunition permitted in the classroom. We will not be doing live firing in this particular training course.
Q- Do you recommend that I wear anything specific for the UT CFP course?
A- Yes, we do for the NON-UT CFP portion. We recommend that you wear a belt in your pant loops, and comfortable clothes.
Q- What do you provide in the UT Concealed Firearm Permit training?
A- We provide the most thorough certification training available.
Q- Will I benefit from this class significantly even though I'm already very proficient with a firearm?
A- Absolutely. Whether you are an "old-hand" with a firearm, or a brand-new beginner, you are certain to learn amazing techniques which will enable you to be more proficient in your use of a firearm.
Q- Will I legally be permitted to carry a concealed firearm following this course?
A- This training isn't the last step of obtaining a concealed firearm permit. You will still need to submit your paperwork, your evidence of taking the training course, and pass the BCI background check. It typically takes 60 to 90 days for your permit to be sent to you if all goes well with your submission.
Q- What does the tuition price include?
A- The $300 tuition price includes your UT Concealed Firearm Protection Course, PLUS your Introduction to the 3x3 Unified Protection System - $300 value. Unlike other UT CFP courses, you will be sent home with all of the training materials covered in your class, plus the added training which will enable you to more competently make use of your UT CFP certification, rather than having it collect dust on a shelf somewhere.

A- You will be given the opportunity to try a variety of firearms, including a Ruger .22, a Glock 9mm, and a Kimber .45.
Q- What other self-defense choices do we have other than using firearms?
A- Women of Caliber teaches a Weapons of Opportunity course as well as a Rape Prevention Course which teaches you effective, real-life self-defense without the use of firearms. A- We require a quality learning environment and that each student is taught by the best. There are only 2 instructors certified in the world for this exclusive training technique. Thus it simply comes down to how many days we can possibly teach with the staff we have available. However, we do offer a really exciting home training course so that you can still have some access to this important instruction!

Q- Does this course require a certain level of physical fitness?
A- No. This is one of the reasons why this course is so important for women nationwide. It's ideal for any woman of any fitness level or size. It's an absolute myth to think that you have to look like what you see on the movie screens in order to properly and effectively defend yourself.
Q- How is this different from other firearm training courses?
A- Through Women of Caliber, we teach what would be considered by most as advanced defensive firearms techniques and is taught by highly trained individuals. We have scoured and attended hundreds of other training courses nationwide. We found that other courses teach as muany as 7 fundamentals of shooting. Unfortunately, this is incomplete information - which could even be deadly in less than ideal circumstances. There are actually 9 critical fundamentals, and being trained in these fundamentals is what will ensure that your shooting improves dramatically and is ultimately effective! This is a shooting technique that is not offered anywhere else in the world. Regardless of how many other training classes you have taken or will take in the future, this training will improve your skills.
Q- Will I receive any certifications for taking this course?
A- Yes, this course provides you with an Advanced Handgun Certification. There are only two divisions of Power of Nine, and only these two divisions are authorized to grant you Power of Nine certification.
Q- What does the tuition price include?
A- Your tuition includes your access to 2 full days of extreme training in the art of defensive firearm usage, as well as your lunches, a light refreshment, firearm usage, ammunition, protective ears and eyes, as well as other classroom materials. We will also arrange transportation to and from the training if you are lodging with our hotel partner.
Q- Can I bring my own firearm and ammunition?
A- No. For liability and insurance purposes we provide the firearms to be used as well as the ammunition. This is one way we can better assure safety for all attendees.
Q- I am a concealed carry permit holder. Can I bring my loaded firearm into the classroom?
A- No. As much as we really hate saying this, for liability and insurance purposes we do not permit any live ammunition in the classroom. On the shooting range, we provide all ammunition.
Q- Why do you require a background check, even if I'm not applying for a Concealed Carry Permit?
A- We require a background check on every attendee, each time they attend a training course, in order to ensure the maximum level of safety for every participant. We also reserve the right to dismiss anyone from the training course who exhibits unsafe behavior or belligerence.
Q- Do I need to be in a particular physical condition in order to take this course?
A- No, not for our firearms courses. You do not need to be physically fit, however, you do need to be clear of any health problems which may be aggravated, triggered, or complicated by the sound of live rounds.
Q- Is your training beneficial to women who have never shot a gun before?
A- Absolutely, in fact, you'll be able to establish a superior foundation by learning this technique at the onset of your shooting training. It's actually preferred that you have not learned any habits that you will have to unlearn during the training course. Many of our students have never fired a gun prior to taking our course, but were still able to shoot accurately in a consistent manner.
Q- What kind of targets will we be shooting in the firearm training class?
A- You will start with larger silhouette targets, however, by the end of the training event you will successfully shoot a target as small as a golf tee at a distance of 5 to 8 yards!
Q- My plane leaves about 6:00 p.m. on the second day of training. Will it be ok for me to step out early?
A- No. If you aren't able to attend the full two-day course, we prefer that you do not attend at all so that others who are willing to get the full training are able to do so.
Q- Will I be able to record this training course?
A- No. Due to the proprietary nature of our training, we do not permit any recording devices of any kind in our training events.
